Posicionar-se corretamente é algo que passa despercebido por iniciantes e é de importância vital para que você jogue relaxado e possa bater na bola com mais força. Exatamente como em outros esportes tipo Golf e Baseball, utilizar o posicionamento correto e a forma certa de segurar a manopla (GRIP) irá impactar diretamente na sua performance. O segredo é estar confortável e ao mesmo tempo em uma posição que deixe seu corpo com os movimentos livres.

Foosball Soccer suggests slightly angling your body and feet at a diagonal with the left side of your body closer to the table and your right side further away. The goal with this foosball stance is to allow your right arm to move more freely as you move the foosball rod in and out. The defensive 2 rod and offensive 3 rod are longer rods that you will need more space to pull back toward your body than the other 2 rods. To demonstrate how this will make a dramatic impact, stick your right arm straight out in front of your body and try to pull it straight back. See how there is some resistance once your elbow hits your side? Now stick your right arm across the left side of your body and pull it to your right. See how much further you can pull your arm without any resistance? The foosball stance diagram below will show you how to position your feet in order to have the proper stance.
